Declaration of FIR to the decision of European High Court of Human Rights in
the case of Wassili Kononow
Two years ago the International Federation of Resistance-fighters (FIR) -
Association of Anti-fascists, the umbrella federation of organizations of former
resistance fighters, partisans, members of the anti-Hitler coalition, victims of
the Nazi regime and anti-fascists of today's generations from more than twenty
countries of Europe and Israel has been satisfied by the judgement of the
European Court of Justice in the case of the Latvian partisan Wassili Kononow.
His condemnation because of war crimes - done by a Riga court 2004 - was
rejected. The European Court rejected 2008 all attempts to criminalize the
liberation struggle of Latvian partisans beside of the Soviet army.

Nachruf auf Stefan Doernberg (Deutschland)

Doernberg, dem Vorsitzenden der DRAFD, der Organisation der Deutschen im Exil,
in der Résistance und an der Seite der Anti-Hitler-Koalition. Im Alter
von 85 Jahren verstarb er am Vorabend des 8. Mai in Berlin.

KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme. Wenige Tage vor den Veranstaltungen zum 65.
Jahrestag der Befreiung des Lagers haben Neonazis sich diesen Ort der Erinnerung
an die Verbrechen des deutschen Faschismus, des Gedenkens an die weit über

Erfolg gegen Neonazi-Provokation auch in Budapest
"Neonazis weht nicht nur in Deutschland der Wind ins Gesicht",
erklärte die Internationale Föderation der Widerstandskämpfer
(FIR) - Bund der Antifaschisten am 6. März 2010 in Budapest. Nachdem Mitte
Februar in Dresden der geplante Nazi-Aufmarsch mit internationaler Beteiligung
am Widerstand mehrerer tausend Bürger, die ihren Protest auf
vielfältige Weise gezeigt haben, gescheitert ist, haben nun auch in Ungarn
Neonazis zurückstecken müssen.

Nachruf auf Oskar Wiesflecker (Österreich)
Mit großer Trauer nehmen wir Abschied von unserem Kameraden Oskar
Wiesflecker, dem Mitglied des Ehrenpräsidiums und dem langjährigen
Funktionär der FIR. Im Alter von 90 Jahren verstarb er am 3. Dezember 2009
in seiner Heimatstadt Wien.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the aggression of Hitler's
Germany on Poland on 1st September 1939 which marks the beginning of the Second
World War the International Federation of Resistance Fighters (FIR) -
Association of Antifascists, the umbrella association of organizations of former
resistance fighters, partisans, members of the anti-Hitler coalition, persecuted
by the Nazi regime and anti-fascists of today's generations from over twenty

Veterans of the anti-fascist fight stand against falsification of
history
The International Federation of the Resistance fighters (FIR) - Association
of the Anti-fascists, the umbrella organization of federations of former
resistance fighters, partisans, members of the anti-Hitler coalition, pursuits
of the Nazi regime and antifascist of today's generations from more than twenty
countries of Europe and Israel took knowledge with surprise and indignation of
the resolution of the parliamentary assembly of the Organization for Security
and Cooperation in Europe from 3 July 2009 to the subject "divided Europe

European parliamentary election campaign 2009 - declaration of FIR
In June 2009 the elections to the European parliament take place in the
member states of the European union. This is cause for the International
Federation of the Resistance fighters (FIR) - anti-fascist association, the
umbrella organization of former resistance fighters, partisans, members of the
anti-Hitler coalition, pursued of the Nazi regime and anti-fascist of today's

60 years NATO - no reason for being jubilant
In April 2009 NATO wants to commit in Strasbourg its 60th anniversary of
establishing. The International Federation of Resistance Fighters (FIR) does not
see any reason to celebrate, but a cause in this anniversary to think about
another strategy of the peacekeeping measures in Europe and the world.

On 16 March former members of SS associations and neo-fascists in Riga
(Latvia) prepare a march in honour of the Waffen SS as "national liberator
of Latvia". The International Federation of Resistance Fighters (FIR) -

former resistance fighters, partisans, deportees and internees, as well as
victims of Nazi crimes and anti-fascists of today's generations from 25

Erklärung der FIR aus Anlass des Auschwitz-Gedenktages
Der 27. Januar 1945 ist für die Menschheit ein historisches Datum. An
diesem Tag wurden die verbliebenen Häftlinge des Vernichtungslager
Auschwitz durch sowjetische Truppen befreit. Damit endete die Geschichte eines
der schlimmsten Ortes der faschistischen deutschen Vernichtungspolitik. Zu Recht
wurde dieses Datum von der Weltgemeinschaft zum Gedenktag für alle Opfer
der faschistischen Verfolgung aus rassischen, religiösen oder politischen
Gründen gewählte.

human rights"
Acting for a better world
The "Universal declaration of human rights" of the United Nations
is a central political document of post-war history. The International
Federation of Resistance fighters (FIR) - Association of Anti-fascists reminds
in this connection of the fact that the political foundation for the foundation
of the UN and the adoption of this declaration was the freedom fight of the
peoples and nations against the fascist barbarism.

langues. Elle a inspiré les Constitutions de beaucoup d'États et
de jeunes Démocraties - récemment devenus indépendants - et
elle est devenue le modèle pour ce que nous savons être correct ou
faux - ou devrions savoir.

Großartiger Erfolg der antifaschistischen
Kräfte gegen Rassismus
Am Samstag, 20. September 2008, demonstrierten in Köln weit über
40.000 Menschen, unter ihnen Mitglieder der Verbände der FIR, gegen ein
geplantes europaweites Treffen von rassistischen und neofaschistischen Parteien
und Gruppen. Angekündigt von "pro Köln" wollten dort
Vertreter des Vlaams Belang, der Freiheitlichen Partei Österreichs, des
Front National, der Lega Nord und der British National Party ihre rassistische
Hetze öffentlich verkünden.

Declaration of FIR to 65th Anniversary of the victory of Stalingrad
On February 2, 2008 we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Red Army's
victory of Stalingrad. On this day the German 6th Army under general field
marshal Paulus capitulates in front of the troops of the 62nd and 64th Red Army
under general Zhukow. The destroying balance for the German armed forces: Over
100.000 soldiers went into war shank, 165,000 left their life into this battle
for the fascist war goals.

The 14th regular congress of the FIR in Athens
On October 19 – 20, 2007 in Athens the 14th regular congress of the FIR took
place. Round about 40 delegates from 15 nations were announced. Unfortunately
the entry to Greece was refused to the veterans from Albania and the former
Yugoslav republic of Macedonia.

Appeal of FIR as "Peace messenger":
The requirement of time is disarmament and co-operation - not
military armament and aggravation of regional conflicts
Today we have the 20th anniversary of the appointment of the International
Federation of Resistance fighters (FIR) as "Peace messenger" by the
United Nations. The obligations from this appointment remained current until
today.
