Liberation Day 2005
Meeting in Moskau on 9. May 2005
On May 9th, 2005 the President of the FIR, Michel Vanderborght, the Vice-President of the FIR, Vilmos Hanti, and the General Secretary of the FIR, Dr. Ulrich Schneider, met the General Secretary of the UN, Kofi Annan, in Moskow.
The meeting took place in the course of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Representatives of more then 50 countries, the General Secretary of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and more then 40 delegations of veteran organizations were invited to the ceremonies.
Kofi Annan also met representatives of the FIR, that is a "United Nations Ambassador of Peace".
